| Q: | What is the Rollabana made of? |
| A: | The Rollabana is a comprised of a unique polyester film that can be rolled and unrolled while retaining its shape. It's completely child-safe and is made using non-harmful UV inks. |
| Q: | Is the Rollabana a legal, patented product? |
| A: | Absolutely Yes! As noted in the U.S. Patent and Trademark database and web site, U.S., Patent # 5176774 protects both the process of manufacturing the self-rolling material, as well as all of its applications including the production and sale of non-traditional advertising banners, corporate brand-messaging and game day giveaway premiums, maps, communication and recognition tools etc. |
| Q: | What's the difference between your Rollabana and the Fanbana, Expand-A-Banner, and some of the other similar products out there? |
| A: | For starters, the Rollabana is the only legal, patented product of its kind in the marketplace today, and any product that may look or appear to be similar is a "knock-off" that has been manufactured and distributed illegally. In addition, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York ordered an injunction on 3/7/07 against Bana Holdings, USA, Inc. (Fanbana) from manufacturing, marketing or selling the hand-held, self-rollable banner under the "Fanbana" name or otherwise. |
| Q: | What if I have ordered a similar product from one of the infringing companies in the last couple of years? Am I at risk of legal action even though I wasn't aware that the product I was purchasing was not above board? |
| A: | Max Impact is a proactive, solutions-based company that operates with the highest level of business ethics. We chose to align ourselves with the rightful owner of this patented product because "that's how we roll." We would hope that you and your company would make the right decision to conduct all present and future banner business with Max Impact. You will be assured of the best possible service, price and quality product to be delivered on time ? from a legally authorized source. |
| Q: | What exactly are the legal rights that Max Impact has with the Rollabana? |
| A: | As of July 31st, 2007 Max Impact became the only legally authorized manufacturer and distributor of the Rollabana in North America. Max Impact has the exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute certain self-rolling material (the "Products"), under U.S. Patents #5,443,923 and #5,176,774 exclusively in the United States, its Territories, Canada and Mexico. Max Impact also has the specific right to manufacture the Products in China or anywhere they choose. The rights granted Max Impact are from both Chanelia Ltd a company registered in England which holds the worldwide rights to manufacture and distribute and Argo Development and Production Ltd and Moshe Harel, its owner-inventor, of the Patents-Products. This is a legally binding agreement. |
| Q: | Does Max Impact pay royalties to the worldwide rights holder and to the patent-holder? |
| A: | Absolutely! In addition to paying a sizeable amount in advanced royalties when the binding Agreement was signed on 7/31/07 by all parties, Max Impact pays a royalty on every Rollabana that is produced, as does Bam Bams. |
| Q: | Is Bam Bams an authorized distributor of the Rollabana? |
| A: | Yes. Bam Bams is the exclusive supplier of the Rollabana to the ASI marketplace, and Max Impact is elated to be partnered with one of the most respected suppliers in the promotional products industry. All ASI and PPAI reps and distributors should contact Bam Bams directly to place Rollabana orders. |
| Q: | I just placed an order with a company that sells the Expand-A-Banner, which appears to be a "knock-off brand" of the Rollabana - what should I do? |
| A: | Contact us immediately at 1-877-530-ROLL or info@maximpactusa.com, and we will remedy the situation. In light of the severity of some of the blatant actions taken by various patent violators to create confusion in the marketplace with this product, legal action is taking place against any and all individuals and companies that choose to operate outside the lines of good, ethical business practices. |
| Q: | How many colors are allowed per side of the Rollabana and are you capable of printing high resolution photographic images? |
| A: | You can submit your artwork with up to four pantone colors per side, or you can submit your artwork in 4-color process (CMYK). (Additional charges will be assessed for more than four spot colors per side ? eight total). With regard to photographic imaging, YES we can! Photo quality and high resolution graphics are typically used with the licensed retail Rollabanas. For more information on artwork procedures, click this link (insert html on Artwork procedures). |
| Q: | What is the turnaround time for product delivery? |
| A: | Upon artwork approval, the average turnaround time for Rollabanas produced overseas is 2-3 weeks via air freight and 4-5 weeks via ocean freight. For U.S. production, the normal turnaround time is 2-3 weeks, but we also have a "premium-level service" that is available for anyone who needs delivery within a week. For the first time ever, Rollabanas can now be produced for the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA/NHL playoffs, and the NCAA Final Four. |
| Q: | What are the overall dimensions of the Rollabana? |
| A: | The Rollabana that we produce overseas measures 28 inches long x 9.5 inches wide when fully extended. When the Rollabana is closed, it measures 2 inches long x 10 inches wide and weighs one ounce. The Rollabana produced in the United States measures 26.5 inches long x 9 inches wide. |
| Q: | What is the difference between the promotional Rollabana and the retail Rollabana? |
| A: | The promotional Rollabana that is typically used for the game day giveaway marketplace is normally packaged as a basic Rollabana in a poly bag. The retail/licensed Rollabana is produced with a high density polyester, which enables us to print photo quality pictures and images. The retail packaging is also superior in that the featured Rollabana includes two suction cups and is enclosed within an awesome header card for display purposes. |
| Q: | Why is there such a wide range in pricing between the smaller quantities and larger quantities? |
| A: | Like all printed products, economies of scale kick-in with the higher volume quantities. With the specialized printing process that is required to produce the Rollabana, this fact is only compounded due to the cost of the metal cylinders that are used on the roto-gravure printing press. As we continue to make significant progress in streamlining manufacturing processes, we are always looking for process improvements that will help us continue to make the Rollabana a highly affordable and cost-effective product solution for the end user. |
| Q: | Why did Max Impact spend so much time, money, and resources to have U.S. production capabilities for the Rollabana since everything is typically cheaper in China? |
| A: | It's no mystery that the majority of savings between manufacturing products in the U.S. versus China is in the labor costs. However, our business is growing and the demand for the Rollabana has more than justified the costs of setting up U.S. production to augment our overseas production. It's a win-win for everyone because we're doing what we can to help bolster the American economy by creating jobs and putting the "Made in the USA" stamp on the Rollabana, which is required for Political Candidates, Unions, and reputable institutions like the University of Notre Dame. On the subject of price, when you factor in the costs of shipping from overseas along with the stress and potential hang-ups that are becoming more frequent with container inspections, the price points on Rollabanas produced in the U.S. (5000 pieces and up) are very competitive with overseas pricing. |

| Q: | What if I want to check out your factories before doing business with you? |
| A: | Hey, you can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a bull's ass, but wouldn't you rather take the butcher's word for it? |
